I think one of my issues on not losing weight as quickly as I would like is because I’m not eating much as I should.

It’s really frustrating. I’ve probably been eating around 1000 calories (not on purpose, I work late so I don’t like eating when I get home around 10), and I started myfitnesspal and said I should have around 1380 calories, and so far today I’ve only had about half that. WTF…. I feel like I’ve been eating all day! Anyone else have issues with this?

I’ve gained like a pound which I’m assuming is because I’m on my period and retaining water, but after seeing a gain after losing, I still feel kinda discouraged :/

2 month weight loss challenge!

Week One!

Weekly challenge: Pick one unhealthy food or habit you have (eg. Artificial sweetener, chocolate, eating after 8pm, skipping breakfast) and aim to go 7 days without eating/doing it.

— I plan on not drinking any soda! We’ll see how this goes… All I’ve been drinking is water and unsweetened tea since I started back on track.

Day one: How tall are you, what do you currently weigh, and what do you hope to weigh after the 60 days? (Be realistic).

I am 5’6” and 181. After 60 days…. I’m hoping maybe 165. That would be awesome!


Day two: What is your MAIN reason for wanting to lose weight? (Be honest.)

My main reason for losing weight is to basically do all the stuff I’ve always wanted to but have been embarrassed or insecure to do because of my weight. Especially living in California, during the summer, everything is outside and I HATE having to wear jeans or things to cover up and be all hot and sweaty and uncomfortable when I just wanna throw on a cute dress. I also really do LOVE the idea of a fit lifestyle- hiking, running, swimming, and I want to be able to make that part of my daily life. Before, I think I was doing weight loss for more shallow superficial reasons but I really want to have a healthy and energetic lifestyle, and I can’t do that weighing 180lbs.


Day three: Do you count calories? What is your daily calorie goal/allowance?

I don’t necessarily count calories, but I try to keep it between 1200-1500. Anything under 1000 and your body just can’t function. I’ve just been eating much more fruits, veggies, and lean protein and cutting out a TON of carbs. I still am going to allow myself to have something I’m craving if I really want to, but the key is portion control.

Gonna start adding this in tomorrow. Needing to tone up my arms!
